- Why do I need to agree to the Declaration?
The General Declaration provides confirmation of the terms and conditions that must be agreed before a policy can be issued online.
- What type of policy can I purchase on Quote and Buy?
Currently, only private car and private commercial motor policies can be purchased online. Customers have the option of Comprehensive or Third Party coverage. For other policy types, contact us via telephone at 978-3690-9 or 1-888-687-2442 or email us at info@advantagegeneral.com for a quotation.
- What steps are involved in the Quote & Buy Process?

Each proposer will be required to fill out a number of forms, sequentially, to include information on the proposer/applicant, vehicle details, driver details, the policy type and cover requirements.

You will be able to select from a range of cover options and check one or more boxes that may entitle you to discounts in addition to the 5% online discount.

Once satisfied with the premium quoted, you can proceed to pay securely online using a valid credit card.

When your payment has been successfully confirmed, you can download your e-Cover Note and your e-Policy Schedule at your convenience. These documents are also emailed to you automatically.

The e-Cover Note will be valid for seven (7) days during which time you will be required to submit all relevant documentation in order to receive your Certificate of Insurance for the policy purchased.

An AGIC Representative will contact you within one business day to provide you with further details and instructions regarding your policy.
- What if I am not ready to buy my policy online?
If you are not ready to purchase your policy online you may click on the "GET QUICK QUOTE" button. This takes you to a single screen that collects enough information to deliver an estimated quote. This may be useful if you are just "shopping". If you like the quote, you can proceed to "QUOTE & BUY NOW". The information that you have already entered will pre-populate those fields.
- How do I know that my credit card information will be secure?
Our website is secured by one of the world’s most reputable Internet payment solutions, Plug’n Pay. The payment gateway has security features in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information provided. All user information is secured in databases protected via a variety of access controls as well as using SSL encryption protocols to secure sensitive information.
- Do I receive the same discounts as I would if I contacted an AGIC office?
Yes you will. The system captures customer details and provides an accurate premium calculation from the rating engine. It is of course important that the questions are answered completely to ensure that your discounts are applied. Note that, where applicable, proof of discount entitlement is required.
- Will I be provided with alternative quotes if I qualify for more than one policy type?
Yes! Once you qualify for more than one of our products, you will be provided with the respective quotes and will then be required to select the desired option.
- I have a new vehicle that has not yet been registered. Will I be able to use your Quote and Buy service?
Only vehicles that are already registered in the government database will be facilitated the Quote and Buy service. Customers who do not readily have the vehicle details at hand may opt to generate a “Quick Quote” or contact us via telephone or email.
- How soon can I expect my policy documents after payment is made?
On successful payment, the policy documents are automatically generated by a document generation system and emailed to you. Included is an e-Cover Note valid for seven (7) days which allows you to submit all required supporting documents and collect the original Certificate of Insurance at any of our eleven (11) branches island-wide.
- Do I save on my premium if I purchase my policy online?
Yes! There is an additional 5% discount applied to all policies purchased online.
- What if I need assistance with the process?
Our TeleBranch team is available between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to offer support to customers who use the service. In addition, after receiving your online quotation a TeleBranch Representative will contact you within 24 hours to ensure that you have been provided with the best possible quotation.
- Will the police and Tax Office accept the policy documents generated from the website?
All the major stakeholders have been notified and we continue to have discussions with them about this new service and the e-documents that will be generated from the website.
