Advantage General Staff Visits Jerusalem and Makes Generous Contribution

Children at the Jerusalem Children’s Home had a reason to smile as they were treated to clothing and toiletries by staff from Advantage General Insurance Company. This formed part of Advantage General’s Human Resources Department’s HIV/AIDS initiative for 2010. The Home, located at 3 Windsor Road in Spanish Town, St. Catherine houses 55 children living with HIV/AIDS between two to 19 years of age. Of the 55 children, 14 are boys (2-13 years) and 41 are girls (2-19 years).

Co-ordinator of this initiative, HR Business Partner, Elaine McCarthy, says the home had requested assistance from the Company and “we answered the call”. Miss McCarthy points out that staff members were very responsive and the company was able to make a generous contribution to the home.
