KINGSTON (February 10, 2012):

Advantage General Insurance Company Limited (Advantage General), which based on industry statistics published by the IAJ as at June 2011, dominates the local motor insurance market with a 35 per cent share, will soon become the first general insurance company to list on the main board of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE). The Company intends to raise between $500 and $600 million from its offering of shares to the public.

After 47 years as a privately run general insurance company, Advantage General plans to go public and list on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) within the next three months.

The company which has been in operation since 1964 says it plan to raise between J$450 and J$650 million in its initial offering of shares to the public.
